Rina Sawayama, who appeared in John Wick: Chapter 4, talked about one of her greatest memories from working with Keanu Reeves. Although the fourth film in the action franchise won't be released in theatres until the following year, the actress revealed to Metro how rigorously the Matrix actor prepares for his roles. According to her explanation, a day at the gym was really wrecking everyone, and Reeves had a response that was quite understandable and related to the situation.
Due to the fact that he performs all of his own stunts for this movie, the physical challenge felt quite authentic. Sawayama also noted that she is only in a section of the film, so the singer thought that she got lucky in that respect. Sawayama did mention that she is only in that section of the film.
The actor from John Wick did not have such good fortune; rather, he had to put in a lot of hard work in order to keep his body in tip-top shape. Have a read of what she had to say about the event right here down below in the comment section.
She went on to clarify that "Keanu just has such an ordinariness about him," which means that "he's so down to earth, he's someone who is so mellow out and wonderful," and that "it's just great to hang out with him like he's a family member." "My favourite moment is when I was working out with him in the same gym and I looked over at him and said,
"Fuck!" That moment will always stand out in my mind.
That was one of my favourites, even if the training was so difficult! I had a
lot of fun being able to experience it with him because we were both thinking,
"This is dreadful." However, I cannot compare what I have done to
what he has done because he is in the entire movie, whereas I am only in a
section of the movie. I have no idea how he pulls it off, but he performs all
of his own stunts!"
Chad Stahelski, the director of the fourth instalment, stated on the red carpet at CinemaCon that the focus of the film was on causing Reeves to endure pain. It is quite evident that he intended for it to be taken in that sense after hearing the narrative. In an interview with THR, the director shared his thoughts, saying, "We keep finding new and exciting ways to have John Wick suffer." "This is where the action is going to take place. Determine the best way to cause him pain, and then work backwards from there."
"We work through each chapter in order. Similar to how an author would write a chapter, then pause to think, then move on to the next chapter "Stahelski told Collider. "I believe that Chapter 4 is an excellent continuation of all three of the films that came before it, and I think that it even has a little bit of a climax to it, which is fantastic.
We
present a large number of new characters, all of whom have something
significant to say about John Wick, both in the past and, of course, in the
present. I believe that it's fraternity, and I believe it's hope. It's what
life would truly be like if John went through a bit of an existential crisis,
and I think that's the fun part of the movie; that's what it's about."
