"Laura Tobin threatens Exit Good Morning Britain after awkward on-air blunder"

On Thursday, weather presenter Laura Tobin made a lighthearted warning that she would leave Good Morning Britain if Adil Ray didn't change.

On the most recent episode of the ITV breakfast programme, the 40-year-old host was having a conversation with Adil when she suggested that she quit her job.

Adil was incorrectly referred to as "Aled" earlier in the programme by Laura, and he made it obvious that he wouldn't soon forget it by bringing it up when it came time for Laura to provide another weather report.

As they got another update, Adil said sarcastically: "Let's have a look at the weather now. Err Lisa is at Castle Farm in Kent. It is Lisa isn't it? Oh Linda, sorry Linda!"

Adil's co-host Charlotte Hawkins rolled her eyes at the banter and said: "You two!"

"I've already text you to say I'm sorry, haven't I?" Laura replied, before going on to make the mistake again.

"I text Aled..." she said, before quickly realising her mistake as Adil and Charlotte gasped.

"You did it again! Laura, you're doubling down on it!" Charlotte shouted.

Laura quickly replied: "It's just because I literally just text Adil to say that, 'I am sorry', and he replied, 'who is this?'"

She then joked: "This is my last day of work at Good Morning Britain, I can say I've really enjoyed working with everybody, thank you so much."

Laura then said: "I can think of better ways to go," before adding: "We should move on!"

"Yes! Move on, swiftly!" Adil replied.

It’s not the first mistake the presenter has made recently, after she missed her presenting slot after oversleeping following a boozy night out at a quiz event back in March.

The TV host was due to present her regular weather segment on ITV alongside Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard.

However, when it cut to her segment, the presenter was absent, with Charlotte Hawkins ready to step in instead.

Explaining Laura’s absence, Ben and Kate revealed Laura had been attending a news quiz the night before with the GMB team.

“She’s the last to wake-up this morning, she’s overslept,” Ben revealed, as Kate chimed in: “Nobody could raise her!” as it cut to her empty seat by the weather map.

After arriving at the studio later that morning, Laura held up the trophy and said: “I'm delivering sunshine, so that's the forecast, but I'm an award-winning forecaster this morning."

However Laura appeared to be feeling a little worse for wear after eating chicken nuggets for breakfast along with a Coca-Cola – which she then accidentally spilled.
